Nasmyth IEC is pleased to announce it has been awarded ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System (EMS) implementation and Certification.

Based in Littlehampton, the Nasmyth IEC engineering team design, manufacture and repair precision parts and complex electro-mechanical assemblies, sub-assemblies and kits.  Its customers are predominantly in mission critical sectors including Defence, Aerospace, Maritime and Space.

The purpose of the ISO 14001:2015 International Standard is to provide companies with a framework to protect the environment and respond to changing environmental conditions in balance with socio-economic needs. It helps companies to enhance their environmental performance by protecting the environment and achieving established environmental objectives to reduce harm, pollution and emergency accidents while preventing adverse impact from materials and resources used in daily activities.

James Moir, General Manager at Nasmyth IEC, commented:

“We are thrilled to be able to add ISO 14001:2015 certification to our list of company achievements. This certification highlights Nasmyth IEC’s environmental management systems for air pollution, land and water contamination, use of raw materials, natural resources, energy, generation of waste, climate change and other resource use and efficiencies.”

Across its 12 business, Nasmyth Group continues to reduce its environmental footprint as part of its long-term sustainability programme.
